The State Capella of Russia is known for its discipline, nobility of expression, flexibility of phrasing, and the richness and warmth of its skillfully balanced sections. This will be the Capella’s first “Christmas” tour in the United States and their first appearance in the Bronx and will include masterpieces by Rachmaninoff, Bortnyansky, Grechaninoff, some Western Classics, and, of course, famous Christmas Carols. The Capella has toured in Spain, Hungary, France, Holland, Germany, Sweden, Canada, England, Italy, as well as Hong Kong and Mainland China. Critics often note their flawless vocal and choral technique, crystal-clear and precise intonation and unfailing attention to the poetry in the music they perform.
