BxNSPE Seminar Registration

Prof. Graham Walker, Manhattan College: “Conventional and alternative energy sources”

Prof. Thomas N. McKee, Manhattan College, Entergy: “Power distribution and distribution management. The grid and the smart grid”
Pat Falciano, Nuclear Renaissance Services: “All of the above as it relates to Indian Point. Nuclear generation information and issues, safety, site selection issues”

PDH: This presentation is approved for 2.5 PDH for NYS PEs through PIE.

Time: 6:00 PM for Registraion and light refreshments. Presentation at 7:00PM, through 9:30PM.

Fees: Note that you MUST pre-register using the buttons below or email info@bxnspe.org if you cannot use them. No matter how you register, be sure to provide the Name, email, and affiliation of the attendee.

  • Site and refreshment fee (all attendees): $10.
  • PDH fee: NYSSPE members: free ($0);
    Non-members $50 (waived if signing up for membership before the event)
  • To join: download the membership application, fill it in and send it in. Keep a copy and bring it to the meeting. Manhattan College faculty and students are invited to attend for free if they RSVP by April 16, 2013.
    NOTE: The PEC (Professional Engineers in Construction) has generously offered to cover the $10 Site and Registration fee for any non-members who join the society in order to attend the meeting as a member.

This meeting will be at Manhattan College, with registraion starting at 6:00 and the seminar starting at 7:00. Refreshments before the presentation are included.

Place: Manhattan College, Leo Engineering Building (3825 Corlear Ave, betw. 238th and 240th Sts., 1 block west of Broadway, Bronx, NY 10463) in the Scala Auditorium on the first floor. Parking available. The Leo Engineering building is convenient to the IRT #1 stop at 238th St., the Maj. Deegan Expressway at Van Cortlandt Park So, and the Henry Hudson Pkwy at Broadway.

If you wish to save $50 right now and also be eligible for member rates at the rest of our meetings, you can join the society and use the member button above.
